Pastor Ted Glauser of Lighthouse Fellowship of Pacific Grove went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2014. Ted
had been ill at home for several months prior to his death where he was attended by his wife Alicia. He passed away
at home with Alicia, their children and grandchildren present during much of the day.
Ted was the
Sr. Pastor of Lighthouse Fellowship (a Calvary Chapel Affiliate) that was started on October 6, 2006. The church
started as a Bible Study in Pastor Ted's home. The group moved to the community center of his residence and
finally to the current location four years ago at the Pacific Grove Community Center.
Ted was born September
14, 1956 in Tecumseh, Michigan and his family moved to Los Gatos, CA in 1959. There he graduated from Los Gatos
High School. He attended the University of Washington and the University of Nevada where he earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Civil Engineering. Ted practiced Engineering for a number of years until he felt the call on his life to become
a Christian pastor. Ted attended Western Theological Seminary in Los Gatos. He left engineering and became the
administrative pastor at Calvary Chapel Modesto in 2001. In 2004 Ted, Alicia, and daughters Abbey and Chelsea moved
to London where Ted served at Calvary Chapel Westminster. In 2005 the family moved to Pacific Grove, CA where Ted served
as Administrative Pastor and acting Sr. Pastor at Calvary Chapel Monterey Bay. Ted then spent a short time at Calvary
Chapel San Jose before returning to Pacific Grove where he knew God had called him to minister. Ted was recognized for
his organizational skills and excellent Bible teaching. He was community minded and reached out to the local populace
in a number of ways through the church.
Ted is survived by his wife Alicia, their five married
children, Abbey, Chelsea, Angie, Michael and Lindsey and their ten grandchildren.
